The data did not support hypothesis 1 and the hypothesis was rejected. The frequency produced by the primary test fish did not change by at 10 Hz or more at least 80% of the time.
The data did support hypothesis 2 and the hypothesis was accepted. The O2 consumption of weakly electric fish did increase in the presence of a second weakly electric fish. An ANOVA test determined that the differences in the means are statistically significant.
